The following Questionnaire is part of a study about the Mobile TV acceptance in the Egyptian mobile market.
Please, note that all your answers will be confidential and will be used ONLY for the purpose of research, without any reference to the identity of the interviewee. Accordingly, you are kindly requested to respond to all questions frankly. Your responses will be treated as strictly confidential and only the researcher will have access to the information that you provide.
The aim of the research is to gain deeper understanding of the customers' attitude towards using the Mobile TV service, and the findings will be used to assisst the mobile network operators to better design the service taking into consideration the customers preferences and needs.
Below is a list of terms and their explanation that you will run through during the course of this survey.
Mobile TV: Mobile TV will offer television as viewers know it and understand it. Users will be able to watch content with which they are familiar from traditional broadcast television on their mobile devices. The main differences are that they will be able to watch it on the go, instead of ‘going to’ the information as they do with television, radio and the Internet, and that instead of a big screen they will watch it on the small personal screen of their mobile device.
SMS: Short Messaging Service; sending text via your mobile
Soaps: That form of television that works with a continuous open narrative. Each episode ends with a promise that the storyline is to be continued in another episode. For example: Friends, Noor, Coronation Street, etc…
